The opioid crisis is deadly and costly.The CDC reports that each day, more than 130 people die from opioid drug overdose and the 2018 national average life expectancy decreased due to opioid drug overdoses in combination with other key factors. We have developed a solution consisting of multiple use-cases in the areas of prescription misuse, counterfeiting and effective treatment by using emerging technologies in the cloud to contain the spread of the opioid crisis and to deliver treatment to those addicted. Using Oracle Blockchain Cloud Service and Oracle Analytics Cloud, we’ve developed an end to end solution that can systematically enable government, hospitals, and pharmaceutical leaders to contain the opioid crisis, assist those who are addicted, and to analyze data that can inform leaders where to optimally employ resources. Oracle’s Cloud provides the best environment to host an enterprise level solution like the one that this one requires.
