Detecting Fake News in a Real World

Fake news is the pus oozing out of our virtual spaces to infect every living room in America and the world daily. Fake news teaches ignorance, preaches fear and mistrust, but looks just like you and me. It would be the perfect crime - if it wasn't for three meddling students from the University of Cincinnati with one goal: to keep it _real_ . While AI has been a favourite antagonist of science fiction writers, these students harness the combined power of Strategic Analytics and Human expertise to slay the shape-shifting problem that is fake news. Machine and Deep Learning, when tempered with human expertise can distinctively identify malicious and fake news. The need for a robust algorithm to identify such content has never been more urgent, with fake news causing lynchings in India, fuelling riots in Europe, and deciding the fate of democracies world over.

Bonus Content: The approach towards fake news adopted by the dominant Social Media company might be a disaster.
